Fold and cut as tapestry technique (coursecode: DZ-01-23)
The third masterclass with Dario Zeruto.
Dario is a great paper engineer and an inspiring teacher.
You need to do this masterclass face to face to feel and touch this paperart and fully enjoy what we are going to do here.
Before we start with the masterclass you will receive a material package with instructions to prepare some sheets of paper on forehand.
This way we can use our time in the masterclass as effective as possible.
You will also gain acces to an instruction video made by Dario to help you in preparing these sheets.
In this masterclass we will explore the three-dimensional potential of paper in which the work of Anni Albers is an inspiration.
Why Anni Albers?
Anni Albers was an artist that had a big influence on Dario’s own development, as well as the Bauhaus and Josef Albers.
Anni was a important guide and teacher in his way to become an paper artist.
If you want to know more about her tribute to the Art and Design development over 100 years, you can visit the website of the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation.
The location of this foundation is in Bethany, Connecticut, near New Haven, above New York.
